Samba Staying At Rovers

Christopher Samba says he wants to honour his long term deal at Blackburn Rovers.

Agent Leon Lambert insists the massive Congolese defender Samba, who signed a new five-year deal last season, is staying at Ewood Park.

Lambert speaking to Sky Sports said: 'Chris has a contract at Blackburn and he is very happy there.

'There has been speculation but at this moment he is staying at Blackburn and I expect him to start the season with Blackburn.

'There has been no contact with anyone else and, Blackburn want him to stay, he's got a contract until 2012, he'll respect that and he is happy there.

'He doesn't know Paul Ince personally but knows a lot about him as a player and I'm sure he will be happy to have him as his manager.'

I think we will all agree this is a massive boost, the more players that commit to Rovers, the more assured the future at Blackburn will be.

LETS ALL DO THE SAMBA!

Great news all around.

Glad he's staying, if he calms his enthusiasm then he's a rock!!
MajiRovers
Great news from the rock, i still remember his story about how he was about to not sign for us, and ever since he has loved every moment, 2012 here we come
sasman
Yeah that was a good story that about Samba wanting to go home... bet he is glad he stayed now!
MikeyGamst
I think its important for players like him to stay, i would say that he ha a lot of work to do before he's one of the top rated centre back but he has the size, speed and potential to become one of the better ones in our league! I think that with a few more seasons with Nelson and Oojier ( if he stays ) that he will become better as Nelsen has bags of talent and Oojier has all the experience in the world

Samba is a good developing player. Also other fans all have good things to say about him aswell which shows how much he's feared.

No one better for Samba to play alongside than Nelsen.... they compliment each other so well.
