Goal Of The Season (Against Us!)

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2007-2008 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2007-2008 continue to be dished out with the BEST GOAL SCORED AGAINST ROVERS THIS SEASON.

THE WINNER: JIMMY BULLARD FOR FULHAM AT EWOOD PARK.

When asked to simply leave the name of the player you feel scored the goal, which you feel was the BEST (I know they are all bad but some leave you thinking, well done!) we conceded this season most felt Jimmy Bullard should be the Award Winner, so congratulations go to Bullard for scoring the best goal we conceded!!!

Without wanting to take anything away from Bullard (as his free kick for Fulham at Ewood Park to deny us a vital three points was a fine strike) personally the impression I got from this Award was that not that many great goals against us stood out (not to say good goals were not scored against us of course!). Ashley Young, Eduardo and Joe Cole all got mentions for good goals, but not as many as Bullard.

To see what people had to say on this category click here.

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the MOST IMPROVED PLAYER OF THE SEASON (so keep voting!!!)

This was the goal that I went for, as it was a very good free kick but I just couldn't remember that many other "great" goals that were scored against us?!?!

We should bid for this boy he was the main reason Fulham stayed up!
MajiRovers
There will be a lot of people in for this guy. maybe he is on Ince's target list?
MikeyGamst
What about Joe Cole. Great build up play!
Adilson
grats to bullard, was bout 4am in the morning, almost started crying, we should of buried em early lol
sasman
Seen rumours that he could be available for about 4M, we need a AMC its a bargain would leave some left over cash for other positions. Adilson - if Joe Cole comes to Rovers this summer I will strip naked and run onto the pitch like a dog with a flag pole coming outta my arse adorned with a giant Welcome to Ewood Joe flag!!!!
MajiRovers
was a hell of a free kick but it shows there was some poor goals scored against us this season
kendog
From our point of view anyway. The defence looked a bit sloppy mid season hence why there was a run of avoidable goals.
MikeyGamst
Apparently, Ince wants his midfield mate, Stephen Davis and has allegedly bid £3 million but its been rejected.
BomBom
The Rangers loanee, I heard he has his heart set on a return could be a tricky coup to pull off, although he's not quite the creative force I was expecting, but he is a good player.
MajiRovers
yeah depends how badly he wants to return to Rangers isnt it
BomBom
I think Rovers are in for McFadden as well, he does have moments of genius that boy but he is needs to be more consistent.
MikeyGamst
Not convinced on McFadden perhaps ince wants to play him in the hole???? he can play left wing more effectively than Dunners though and then put some much needed pressure on Gamst.
MajiRovers
I like the idea of it but am concerned about the price tag... £5.5 million seems a little steep.
