Team Of The Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2007-2008 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2007-2008 continue to be dished out with the TEAM OF THE SEASON.

THE WINNER: ASTON VILLA.

When asked to simply leave the name of the team you believe have been the Team this Season most felt Aston Villa should be the Award Winner! So congratulations to Villa for being voted Vital Blackburn's Team of the Season!!!

The job that Martin O'Neill had performed with an almost threadbare squad last season, taking them into this seasons UEFA Cup (albeit via the Intertoto Cup) has seen them viewed as the team of the 2007-2008 season.

To see what people had to say on this category click here.

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the BEST TEAM FACED BY ROVERS THIS SEASON (so keep voting!!!)

I went for Barnsley on this one due to the FA Cup exploits, but you can't deny the job that O'Neill did with Villa last season, with SUCH a small squad.

Don't remind me they scored 6 against us and took 4 points though - please!

Yous lads are legends I think thats the nicest thing Ive ever seen on Vital football.I dont think we were the team of the season or anything like it,I thought yous were outstanding at the start of the season but were not quite as fortunate as we were with injuries,or had as much as us to spend.I think Santa Cruz was the signing of the season.hope Ince does a great job for yez,my soft spot for Blackburn has just got softer.

We wernt at the races that day that Villa tonked us were we. They wern't that much better a side than the score reflected but they took their chances and we didnt.

A deserved award but I also voted for Barnsley. Having said that Villa have a similar sized squad to ours. Well done Villa.

Yeah, congrats Villa, If ye buy well over the summer I can see ye mounting a challenge for 4th spot, O'Niell is doing a great job over there.

O'Neill used such a small amount of players though didn't he, and their squad MUST be smaller than ours, or anyone elses in the League for that matter?!?!
