Moment Of The Season

Moment Of The Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2007-2008 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2006-2007 continue to be dished out with the MOMENT OF THE SEASON.

THE WINNER: CHRISTOPHER SAMBA'S LAST MINUTE WINNER AGAINST TOTTENHAM HOTSPUR.

When asked to simply leave the moment, which you feel was the Rovers Moment of the Season most felt Christopher Samba's last minute strike against Tottenham should be the Award Winner, so congratulations to Samba on this honour!!!

I know that here on Vital Blackburn as VBers (Vital Blackburners) we particularly look forward to playing Spurs, so for us to have not only beaten them at White Hart Lane last season, but to have done it with a last minute wonder strike from the Wall was particularly pleasing, so it was little wonder this took the Award.

This Award for the Wall came JUST ahead of Jason Roberts' goal celebrations against Bolton Wanderers.

To see what people had to say on this category click here.

Thanks for voting on this, PLEASE KEEP your votes coming in for these other Awards, as there is STILL time to vote so click here for the list of categories and vote on the one(s) you want!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the TEAM OF THE SEASON (so keep voting!!!)

Beating Spurs is SUCH a sweet feeling anytime, in the last minute from a defender was even better. I remember the day well; the beers were flowing well that day!!!

Shock win? We werent the favourites but we won, and we owed you from that daylight robbery homer ref completely dominated 3-2 loss from 3 seasons ago. And from those ridiculous comments made to HDM that time as well. Pay back.

Calm down Mike, I was using the stereotype to make a sarcastic joke, granted not a very funny one:). That defeat form three seasons ago must have hit you really hard, think you should have probably got over it by now tbh

I have.... and I am calm. Just stating my opinion and reasoning. Like I said, a sweet victory that reeked of karma and a deserved winner of the award.

Championship Cost Per Goal So Far In 2016/17

The end of the Championship campaign of 2016/17 is only a month and a bit away from fans across the country but as we go in to the remaining weeks of the campaign...

Positive Signs For Bennett

Bennett was positive of Blackburn being able to see off Lancashire rivals Preston heading into this game at Ewood Park after the Norwich and Fulham results.

Minor Graham Setback

Blackburn had to do without Danny Graham against Preston following the groin problem that forced him off against Fulham last week. He could return against Brighton next week.

Hugely Frustrating

Mowbray admitted Blackburn didn't start the game well against Preston but had then been the dominant side so was 'majorly disappointed' not to record a victory.
