Williams "Very Excited" By Ince Appointment

Blackburn Rovers chairman John Williams has spoken of his excitement at the appointment of Paul Ince.

40-year-old Ince was appointed as the new Rovers manager in succession to Mark Hughes on Sunday, and although he admits that appointing someone who is relatively inexperienced in terms of management (without doubt at the highest level) ahead of the likes of Michael Laudrup, Steve McClaren and Sam Allardyce, Williams is convinced that Incey can do the job.

Williams told the Sun: "I'm very excited by the appointment.

"We've had a very long and thorough process and we're very pleased to get Paul. Judging by his reaction he's really up for it.

"I don't know what the fans' reaction will be. It's a risk whoever you appoint.

"But I believe that Paul will do a very good job for us
."

Not everyone is convinced by Incey's appointment, but were they much different when Mark Hughes took over, even though he had managerial experience at the very highest level with the Welsh national side.
Hughes Da Man
He'll either be a great sucess or a rip-roaring failure, mark my words!

I think Ince has showed with MK Dons that he has great managerial potential and I think at Blackburn he can really show whether he can live up to this.

HDM - Youmention highest level and Welsh National side...surely a contridiction! :-) Hughes had the added bonus of playing for us, so the fans knew him. All we know about Ince is that he is the self proclaimed Guv'nor, and he was a determined player. I would hope he is a success. If he keeps the team together, how can he go wrong!?
Decimus Poole
ooo, dont let Bom here you say that Decimus lol...I am fully expecting him to be a success. Come on Incey!!!

Remember lads that Ferguson went to Utd from Aberdeen, though Aberdeen were bif at the time, its was him that made that way and they crashed and burned without him, so i dont think its the level of club your new manager comes from but the talent he brings with him.
Clint
Says it all that Clint.

Good point Clint. He changed things around at macclesfield when he went there and got the Dons promoted. I'm sure he'll do well with us.

Interesting point merlin... so in other words you will be right either way! Sit on that fence! Buy the way, scolari will either be a great success (with all of Romans billions) or a rip-roaring failure!
