Month Of The Season

Month Of The Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2007-2008 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2007-2008 continue to be dished out with the MONTH OF THE SEASON.

THE WINNER: OCTOBER 2007

When asked to simply leave the Month, which you feel saw Rovers have their Month of the Season most felt October 2007 should be the Award Winner. Congratulations must go to Larissa, Birmingham City, Reading, Tottenham Hotspur and Portsmouth for helping make this the month to remember!!!

We started the month by beating Larissa 2-1 at Ewood Park in the UEFA Cup, but the damage had already been done in September in that cup-tie as we lost in Greece 2-0, so went out 3-2 on aggregate. Birmingham were beaten 2-1 and Reading 4-2, both at Ewood then Tottenham beaten 2-1 at White Hart Lane, all three in the Premier League. The month ended with another win, this time at Fratton Park with a 2-1 win over Portsmouth in the fourth round of the Carling Cup.

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the WORST MOMENT OF THE SEASON (so keep voting!!!)

Five matches, five wins it HAD to be the winning month. It was just a shame that the win over Larissa wasn't enough to see us advance in the UEFA Cup.
