Rovers Start Away AGAIN!

Rovers Start Away AGAIN!

Blackburn Rovers will start the 2008-2009 Premier League season on the road YET AGAIN, after the fixture computers churned out a trip to Everton.

Rovers travel to Goodison Park to take on Everton (who finished last season in fifth place), which will mean a season beginning with an away match for the fourth season running. Premier League newcomers Hull City will be the first visitors to Ewood Park on Saturday 23rd of August.

Away again! Maybe next season we can start at home for a change?!?! Everton and then Hull could have been worse couldn't it.

I love the easy first 3 months that the FA computer has given us. I often wonder if the FA and the MOTD people use the same computer!!!

Its a reasonable start for us, glad it was not hull to start. the fixtures have been kind all the big teams are spaced out and our run-in's not too bad either.

Would be an ideal start for new Rovers manager Bilic, to mastermind an away win against Everton, his former club. BILIC for BLACKBURN

Usually I'm quite optimistic with our start to the season... until we get a good manager in post I'm worried. Everton are a good team and Goodison is a tough place to go to.

Hopefully this time our guys wont run out of steam, the lack of intertoto might actually help us this time around.
