Samba To Reunite With Sparky???

Blackburn Rovers defender Christopher Samba is one of the players that is being most strongly linked with a move to follow Mark Hughes to Manchester City, and his agent feels that he could do so.

Samba proved to be one of MANY bargain signings that Hughes made during his time at Ewood Park, with his £400,000 fee very quickly rising. Plenty of Rovers players are being linked with moves to follow Sparky to the City of Manchester Stadium but Samba's agent Leon Lambert is hinting that he really could become one of them.

Lambert told Sky Sports: "He was Mark Hughes' discovery, who right now wants him at Manchester City.

"He could leave for £4million
."

£4 million would represent superb business for Rovers from a financial point of view but would this compensate us at all, with the fact we would be losing a superb defender!!! Could this be the beginning of Sparky's poaching of our players?!?!

If Samba wants to go there isn't a lot that we can do is there, but AS he is our player and he is under contract the ball is in our court, so lets get as much as we can (IF he does go!!!)
Hughes Da Man
I cannot understand why there hasnt been made an agreement with Hughes/City that he could leave BUT would not be allowed to sign Blackburn players for ex. 2 years. It is so typical that a former manager raids his old club.

Well with Andre Ooijer on top form who needs the Wall. Nah he would be a great loss and will only get better with age really.
roverjoy
Hughes is being a little naughty if he asset strips you, especially with all the money he has from the Thai!
merlin
Want him to stay, once his consitency probs are over we all know he is a wall at the back. Dissapointted with Hughes though he's left us and now he wants our assests too. If he does go though we want alot more than 4 million. At this rate we'll soon have all of man citys transfer fund.
MajiRovers
Probably a load of tabloid BS fellors - I wouldn't believe a word of it until you see Samba holding up a City shirt. Although you'd have to say Leslie needs to look at our defence if our last performance is anything to go buy! Eeeek.. ;-)
MalcolmPowder
i personally would settle for 7 million, as andre ooijer has been world class and has had so many strong reports about him
kendog
it is bound to happen lads, always does, some players stay at a club because of the manager, if he leaves, he takes the backroom staff and some players
sasman
With Dunne, Richards and Corluka, why would Samba want to go there? He is 1st choice at Ewood, cannot say that would be the same at Council Estate Easlands
BomBom
Can't see it personally guys. I don't think Hughes will be allowed to buy players from Rovers. All this talk is obvious media specualtion without much substance. Plus I get the impression that Smabe will be relatively loyal!
roversman
Who the ***** is Smabe? LMFAO thats even worse than Maji's spelling hahahaha
BomBom
Roversman that is a shocker mate!!! lol... I dont want thios to happen and unless Rovers are willing sellers (which they aren't) then I cant see him going/
MikeyGamst
Samba is prone to mistakes and doesnt look the same player without Nelsen, though je would be a loss with £4m ( at least ) and Zurab and Oojer still there then it wouldnt be a massive loss. Its would be a shame for him to leave and go to City as Hughes will be lucky to in charge this time next yr, saying he needs to drag that City team into the top 6 in his 1st yr
Clint
It is a big ask but he can do it. can Mr.Hughes... although I hope we get the better of them, especially in that 28th Dec clash.
MikeyGamst
I don't see any players leaving until our new manager is in post and decides he doesn't need them... more tabloid trash me thinks!
