Ten Cate Gets Greek Job

Henk Ten Cate has been appointed as the new boss of Panathinaikos, which ends speculation he may take over at the mighty Rovers.

The Dutchman arrived at Stamford Bridge as an assistant manager to Avram Grant last October after Jose Mourinho was sacked.

However, just days after being assured his job was safe, he was sacked from Chelsea himself. Which led to the media to think he was in a good position to take over from Hughes after he left in a 'no way money motivated move' to Man City.

However, he has now taken charge of Greek club Panathinaikos, signing a two year deal.

The search goes on my friends. The two names left are Paul Ince and Sam Allardyce, I refuse to acknowledge Steve McClaren... I just can't do it.

Big Sam is now the bookies favourite whilst Ince remains the fan's choice...

All together now -

A massive blow if you ask me...Ten Cate is a very good manager. As an Israeli I would'nt like to see Grant here- simply because I don't like the way he thinks we gotta play. I'd really like to see Ince coming in though.

Lets get a petition going... Ince for gaffer.

Thank god for that, I knew going to Church and praying he would not get it would work!
MajiRovers
Not bothered about Ten Cate. I think he was a bit of a headcase anyway always fighting with the players. Ince would impress the players more than Big Sam imo but i dont know if he would have a wide enough knowledge of the transfer market. The players he would have been after for the Dons would not be the same players we would be looking at. So if he is coming he needs to come quick and be given as much help as possible

lucky escape if you ask me - Ten Cate is not the man for you!

henk ten carte would have been nyc! paul ince's blue and white army! get him in ( guv'nor) ince will get along well with players as he would be very down to earth

I am sure if Mclaren gets the job there will be a new line of umbrellas in the club shop!

Therw will also be NO club shop as it will have been burnt down in protest.

Ten Cate would've had good contacts around Europe with his stints at Ajax and Barca and he supposedly held the Barca team together when Rikjard lost the plot with his players. I think Ince would be good and Big Sam as I said is a good manager but just not the rite time for a Rovers who are looking to push on. McClaren is a muppet, simple!
