Berg Enters The Frame?!?!

Berg Enters The Frame?!?!

Former Blackburn Rovers defender Henning Berg has entered the running to become the new manager at Ewood Park, allegedly.

The Rovers legend, who made almost 300 appearances for the club over two spells (and of course won a Premiership Winners medal in 1995) it currently working in his native Norway, where he is the coach of Lyn Oslo.

Not only is the former Norwegian International being linked with the job, depending on where you read this he has actually become the favourite to land the job ahead of the likes of Alan Shearer, Paul Ince, Steve McClaren and Sam Allardyce.

An obvious name to promote to the head of the queue isn't he due to his past with Rovers isn't he and although I don't doubt that he has applied I would be surprised if he got the job, but you never know?!?!

Well he was successful here before with us Champions and Worthington cup win, could lead that on, i think he could be good if we don't get a big name.

Gerald Houlier, now there's a managers name to conjure up success. Give him a call Mr. Williams, to see if he can be added to the short list

McClaren made a hash of the England job but what England manager hasn't, apart from Robson. Before that he was a good club manager, so good that that is why he was given the England chance. A lot of fans have short memories, certainly not worth 'tearing your shirt up' for. If the board decide he is the best interviewee then we should support them.

I have to disagree waterfall McClaren may have been England manager but I dont think it was because they wanted him, they promoted from the inside as not to disrupt things, when a new manager would have brought new ideas. McClaren did absoulutly nothing with Boro in my humble opinion, i think he's rated as a very good coach but i dont think he cuts it as a manager.

I agree with Clint - He may have upset the top teams with Boro, but they weren't very consistent. In Europe he reached the final of the cup but his tactics left a lot to be desired - conceding so many goals that he was forced to play as many strikers as possible - and with England he made too many mistakes
