The VBers Want 'The Guv'nor' As Next Boss

You have all been voting and it seems the majority of you want Rovers to take a punt on Paul Ince as the clubs next gaffer!

In the recent poll suggested by the soon to be rechristened chief, Hughes Da Man, asking 'Sparky's gone so who do you want as the next manager of Rovers? the most popular on the list was the aforementioned Ince, gathering over a quarter of your votes (27%).

Other candidates tickled the fancy of 18% of you, within that group, you could have included Slaven Bilic, Dick Advocaat, Didier Deschamps, Guus Hiddink, Roberto Mancini, Gordon Strachan, Henk Ten Cate and BomBoms personal preference, Dane Michael Laudrup.

Alan Shearer was 3rd choice with 17% of the votes, you old sentimentalists, you!!

'Big' Sam Allardyce came 4th with a 'not too shabby' 14% of the votes

Rounding out the top 5 was the managerial dream ticket of Mr Angry, Mike Newell and Super Alan Shearer with 8%

Interesting to note that someone voted for Souness and more people voted for 'The wally with the brolly, Steve McClaren than Mike Newell and Dean Saunders combined!!!!

Anyhow, here is how the final results shaped up...

Sam Allardyce 14%

Avram Grant 6%

Paul Ince 27%

Steve McClaren 5%

Mike Newell 3%

Dean Saunders 1%

Alan Shearer 17%

Graeme Souness 1%

Mike Newell & Alan Shearer 8%

Other 18%

who really knows aye, every day we get a new link, gonna be interesting

Shearer would be my choice ( along with a strong backroom staff ) then Ince who would play good stuff as well, then Laudrup next. Big Sam wouldnt take us forward but would stablize. McClampit def no way he made Boro into a less than average team

I voted for Ince, but IF Shearer wants the job I think it would be a risk well worth taking.
Hughes Da Man
Ken dog, that is the greatest post anyone has ever written!!! lol

OK - who voted for McClaren? Was it one of us or some Burnley fans having a laugh at our expense??
FreidelNo.1
Prob the Burnley fans. The Rovers ones have been threatened with the maniacs!
