Rovers Howler Of The Season

With YOUR help Vital Blackburn has been trying to determine what have been the best and worst of the Blackburn Rovers 2007-2008 season.

The nominations are still be taken for other Awards, but the Vital Blackburn Awards for 2007-2008 continue to be dished out with the BOMBOM GONG FOR THE HOWLER OF THE SEASON.

THE WINNER(S): MORTEN GAMST PEDERSEN V MANCHESTER UNITED & CHRISTOPHER SAMBA V ARSENAL

When asked to simply leave the moment, the miss, the goal conceded whatever you feel most deserves the BomBom Gong for the Rovers Howler of the Season most felt Morten Gamst Pedersen's miss v Man United and Christopher Samba's through the legs guff against Arsenal should be the JOINT Award Winners! So congratulations I suppose go to Gamst Pedersen and Samba!!!

It wasn't a stuck on goal at all for Gamst Pedersen but all MGP had to do was show a little composure. Instead of taking the time (and he this!) he had he went for it at the first attempt, wildly missing.

When Arsenal's Eduardo (Christmas came early for him that night!) capitalised on a dreadful error from Samba, who instead of launching the ball into touch with one foot (albeit a weaker) tried to reach across with the other the ball trickled between his legs for the Croatian to rush away and make it 2-0 to the Gunners the Carling Cup Quarter-Final tie looked all over. Rovers came back to 2-2, but eventually bowed out 3-2 after Extra Time but had the Wall not made that dreadful error who knows what might have been?!?!

Next to be dished out will be the Award for the WORST MONTH OF THE SEASON (so keep voting!!!)

The Wall's shocker against Arsenal was the clear winner for me, I still have nightmares about that now! The clearance was so simple to make but he made it look next to impossible!!!

Samba that was shocking and things could of been different got have got Europe, Hughes might not have left etc.. Should not happen at this level of football really.
