Wolves Star Kightly Braced For Premier League Move

It is understood that Wolverhampton Wanderers midfielder is on the verge of a move to the Premier League, and Ewood Park could be his destination?!?!

The England Under-21 International is regarded as one of the most highly rated prospects outside of the Premier League and talk of a move to a Premier League side has grown over the last two-years with his former Grays Athletic manager Mick Woodward claiming that a move to the Premier league is imminent with Rovers one of three clubs chasing him, Everton and West Ham United the others (according to Woodward anyway!!!).

Woodward told The Non-League Paper: "I think you'll see Michael Kightly move very shortly.

"I know Everton, West Ham and Blackburn have come in for him and a club has put a £4 million bid in already.

"People will see who they can get rid of first. West Ham are going to have a good clear-out because they've got too many 'Big-Time Charlies' and they want players who are hungry.

"Kightly fits that bill perfectly
."

It would be good if we could get him but The Hammered will probably outbid everyone else?!?! Would his signing mean Bents WOULD be leaving though???
Hughes Da Man
All due respect but you have no chance of signing him. You have some cracking young players such as Santa Cruz, but your no Villa or Liverpool, looking good for a champs league spot or in Villas case - in the near future. I think you should check this link also http://www.wolves.premiumtv.co.uk/page/News/0,,10307~1322189,00.html and learn that he will be going nowhere. Possibly have a read of our article on vital wolves. All the best for next season though, and hope to see the Roque scoring plenty more!

I haven't heard a lto about this lad but what has been murmered is his undoubted quality. However, I think any transfers will now be put on hold to see what happens with Sparky.

We have a chance Premiership Wolf. Of course we do. Having said that it would be a small chance.

Yer would be outbid by other teams probably, Kightly has got the talent but was injured basically for the whole of last season. So could just arrive then be in the sick room his whole career. SO would be a risk especially for £4mill

roverjoy - i think you will find he was injured around half the season. And that half a season with Kites is an extra half dozen wins. He's class and nothing short of magic!
PremiershipWolf
I don't think we should listen to any transfer rumors until Hughes states he is with us next season - I don't think we'll buy anyone if there is a chance we'll be switching manager

Assuming this is true, as much as I love Bentley, we must search for a winger instead of him: Larsson of Birmingham is just great. Ambrose is really good, Kightley is great and so is Dyer of the Saints. Also- maybe we can bring in Scannell?
IsraeliRover
Kightley in Bentley out then is it?
merlin
I waant Larsson... the best of all players mentioned.
MikeyGamst
Bentley is going anyway as he thinks he has too to get into the England team, although playing a bit better in the national team when he got there with Rovers may have helped this lol Kightly would be an ideal replacement, I just hope that Bents is to leave then he goes quick so we dont lose out on this kid!!
Clint
I cant see I've seen him too much but he looks handy. I'm not sure there will be tons of transfer activity during 2008. Bentley really doesnt need to move to get in the England sqaud. He thinks he needs to move to play in the big games.
