Rovers Off To The Algarve This Summer

Blackburn Rovers are off to the Algarve this summer to face two Portuguese giants as part of the Pre-Season preparations.

Rovers have been invited to take part in the Guadiana Cup, which also involves Benfica and Sporting Lisbon taking place between the 25th and the 27th July. The format of the competition works with each club playing each other to determine the eventual winners. Benfica are the reigning Champions, having won the event last summer.

This is a VERY good standard of opposition for us to be testing ourselves against in Pre-Season, it is just a shame we will not face teams of this calibre in the Europe next season.

I've been trying to persuade the missus but she aint too keen. Think I might just pretend I'm going to get a paper that morning and say I got lost when I return at night....
MikeyGamst
Think I may book my hol around that time and take in a few of the matches!

You could meet up with Mr Mikey, and say you both got lost looking for the morning paper, and just happened to get lost in your Rovers shirts on the day of the match lol!
