Hughes In The Running For Chelsea Job AGAIN!!!

Hughes In The Running For Chelsea Job AGAIN!!!

Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes is again on the shortlist to become the new manager at Chelsea following Avram Grant's sacking (as he was when Jose Mourinho left.)

Seeing Hughes' name in the running to take over other clubs is nothing new (and just goes to highlight what a superb job that he has been doing at Ewood Park) but personally I can't see him being the man for Chelsea at this point in time as I feel they will go for a bigger name than Hughes. Although Sparky a massive name in football terms of his reputation as a player, despite his stock rising all the time as a manager I don't quite feel it is big enough at this point in time for Chelsea, something that I'm MORE than happy with.

Sparky is currently 8-1 joint fourth favourite (along with Sven Goran Eriksson and Phil Scolari) with the bookmarkers behind favourite Frank Rijkaard, Roberto Mancini and Guus Hiddink.

The newspapers understand that no official approach has been made, and until such time Rovers WILL NOT be commenting on any speculation linking Sparky with the vacant post at Stamford Bridge.

I'm confident that we don't have much to worry about here, Sparky IS good enough for Chelsea, but he will not be the man for them this time I don't feel. Would Sparky even want the job with the way Chelsea seem to be treating their managers?!?!

Could be looking at Sparky coming in with Zola to build a dynasty!

imo, we should go for a guy with CL exp (at least a semi-final)... i dont think Hughes qualifies for that... moreover, its totally a different scenario at chelsea with all the big players and the big responsibilities on the manager

Speaking as a Villa fan all I can say is I know how yous feel when a so called bigger club comes knocking, people seem to think that they're entitled to take what they want.Hard luck on missing out on Europe,if these ''bigger'' clubs would have won the cups there would be more of us in there.
