Rovers Not In The Know With Tugay

Blackburn have admitted they don't really know whether legendary midfielder Tugay will accept their offer of a new 1 season deal.

Rovers boss Mark Hughes is keen for the former Turkey international to remain at Ewood Park and has offered him a new contract with the chance to also embark on a coaching career, but Tugay has not yet given them an answer.

'We've made Tugay an offer but we haven't heard back from him as yet,' said Blackburn chairman John Williams to the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

'Essentially, it's a playing role but there could also be an opportunity for him to move into coaching, with Mark and his staff keen to help him with that side of things.'

Hold your breath guys.

I think he still wil but I do wish he'd hurry up and do it. This is the start of what should be a long summer trying to hold onto our players.
