With the end of season holidays approaching, Blackburn appear to have taken the first step into the long term future of the club, securing 3 star players to new contracts which will keep the at the club until the Summer of 2012.
Former Liverpool Left fullback, Steven Warnock, explosive striker, Matt Derbyshire, and future prospect, Martin Olsson, have all pledged there future to the clubs, signing new contracts.
When intervewed by the BBC, Warnock said,
'It is a massive thing to be offered a new contract and when you see how the club is progressing, then you want to be a part of that - and things are going well, so I can't really argue,'
This is a fantastic piece of work by Blackburn, securing the long term future of the club with the extension of the contracts these fantastic players. Hopefully a few more will sign on in the coming weeks
