Vogel Top Rovers Midfielder

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked, "Midfielder of the Month for April?" We voted in favour of Johann Vogel.

By quite a clear margin, with 66% Vogel was crowned the Midfielder of the Month for April after some fine performances, having started his Rovers career slowly (although to be fair he hadn't played for 10-months!!!) However, in his more recent matches he has shown the quality that saw him play for AC Milan.

Morten Gamst Pedersen's 22% sees him again finish as runner up, and as such he also advances to the overall Player of the Month poll, taking place soon.

David Bentley (7%), Aaron Mokoena (5%), David Dunn (0%), Steven Reid (0%) & Tugay (0%) completed the poll.

So in summary
David Bentley - 7%
David Dunn - 0%
Morten Gamst Pedersen - 22%
Aaron Mokoena - 5%
Steven Reid - 0%
Tugay - 0%
Johann Vogel - 66%

As the search for April's Player of the Month continues, the positional votes conclude with the current poll asking, "Forward of the Month for April?" Who will join Brett Emerton, Brad Friedel, Morten Gamst Pedersen & Johann Vogel? You decide.

PLEASE NOTE: The positional votes are going to be quick fire ones so get your votes in quick!

At the start of the Month has you told me Vogel could've won this I might have believed you based on his past history, but seeing those opening performances I wouldn't have thought it likely. However, he has grown in stature with each match and I think he completely deserved this in the end.
Hughes Da Man
Fully deserved, he's made an immediate impact on the team, and putting in kind of performances I was'nt expecting to see from him until next season. He's adapting to the premier league very quickly, he's proving a great acquisition.

Well deserved, really has lifted and forcing dunny to sit on the sidelines, dont think he would b too happy with that
sasman
With each game he has looked more assured. I just hope he keeps improviing because there is surely more to come from him.

bad first game has improved but not the whole month has one good game which is not a month sorry to disagree..
oztheman
One good game?!?! He wasn't good against Spurs or Liverpoool (but then again who WAS good against Liverpool!), however, he was probably the best outfield player against Manure and was also good against Portsmouth last week, two out of four isn't bad, even more so when you think it's 10-months since he played!
Hughes Da Man
I agree HDM. He hasnt played 4 10 months and too play in for tough games is a big ask. And the last 2 games, hes played better than any other midfielder so he does deserve it.
Vintige
He had a bad game v Spurs and an average one v Liverpool but the Man U and Pompey games exhibited some great, battling work and for this he deserves the award. I still believe he is probably not at his best which is only a good thing.
