Sparky Tracking Bulgarian Starlet

Blackburn Rovers are trailing Bulgarian youngster Ivelin Popov, if newspapers reports are to be believed anyway.

The suggestion is that Rovers manager Mark Hughes has flown the 20-year-old over from Bulgaria for talks with the view of a summer transfer to Ewood Park from his current club Liteks Lovech. A quick search on the player saw me find out that he is understood to a fiery character, and one that isn't afraid to have an outburst on or off the pitch, with him also known as a womaniser!!! As for his footballing ability he is understood to be a winger in the mould of David Bentley, and can also play as a supporting striker.

The Bulgarian International (he made his debut last year) has previously trained with Feyenoord for several months and was mooted with a move to Manchester City in the January transfer window.

He certainly sounds an interesting character!!! If Sparky likes him then he'll be good enough for me that much I do know, even if I don't really know much else about him.

Cheap as chips that lad.....What a bargain..

Well this is a little left-field. First Domochiyski or whatever it was and now this lad. Hughes is liking the Bulgarians. Still we'll see what comes of it.

Seems strange to say the least, but Sparky does pull some rabbits out of the hat doesn't he, but then again this could just ne the newspapers pulling a rabbit out of thin air lol!
Hughes Da Man
I think he is casting net further a field as Eastern Europeans seem to cost less. If it works, again it is a masterstroke, however this is merely specualtion that could turn into more.
