Williams: Roberts NOT For Sale

Blackburn Rovers chairman John Williams insists that Jason Roberts isn't for sale despite newspaper reports saying he is. They also said Derby County, Sunderland and Bolton Wanderers all keeping tabs on him.

Contrary to what the newspapers might be reporting Williams has said that Roberts isn't for sale and he won't be leaving Ewood Park this summer, as he isn't looking to move on, nor are the club wanting to sell him as keeping the best players at the club is what is wanted, and Williams classes JR as one of these.

Williams told the Lancashire Telegraph: "Jason's been on a good run of late and, as far as I'm concerned, he will be with us at the start of next season.

"Certainly at the moment, he's not for sale and we won't be entertaining any approaches for him.

"We are not in the process of wanting to lose our best players and Jason comes into that category
."

(As much as I want JR to stay) personally I still believe that he will go this summer as he will want regular football at his age and I'm not sure he will get that at Ewood next season?

You should keep him imo.

I like Roberts and would like him to stay but with all his injuries since he signed with us would it not be better to offload him while we can make money, maybe bring in a younger more hungry player?!?!
Clint
I dont agree clint... I think he has been tragically under utilised and when motivated is one hell of a player. Altough Is ee where your line of thinking is.
