Rovers Ready To Let JR Go???

Blackburn Rovers are finally willing to let the frustrated Jason Roberts go, apparently.

Roberts had found his lack of first-team football at Ewood Park increasingly frustrating and he handed in a transfer request earlier in the season, however, this was rejected. In recent weeks he has started alongside Roque Santa Cruz but with his chances likely to be limited in the future it is understood that Mark Hughes will finally let him leave in the summer.

If JR is allowed to leave then the newspaper reports are claiming that Derby County (managed by his former Wigan Athletic boss Paul Jewell) have him top of there list as the striker to spearhead their Championship campaign next season and will hand over £2 million for his services, Sunderland are also being mentioned.

I'm a fan of JR's and would like to see him stay but I think that this is not that likely (nor was it ever) to happen and he will leave, £2 million wouldn't be bad business though would it, and it would give him the regular football I think he deserves.

For me he has had the chances that so many wanted him to get and although he is a nuisance he hasn't got the touch of class we need. A good player and a decent bloke to boot but time is he needs to go.

Agreed! It will be best for both parties if he goes in the Summer.

Not good enough for our ambitions get as much as we can for him though he's worth more than 2mill.

He's obviously not happy here, and he gives his all for the cause but wants out so we need to grant him his wish in the summer. Good luck to him though.

I think we should hold hold out for what we bought him for. He is a good player to come off the bench and give us a threat against tiring defences.

What would £2m buy? Not a lot, I think £3m at least. Not that I want him to go, I still rate him and although he doesn't score a lot, he makes up for it with his workrate.

Why letting JR go when Benny could be sold for more and when JR has made a better season. Even though, I like Derbyshire better than both of them on the front with Roque,

I dont want him to go as I think he is a terrific player and underrated by most. But I have a feeling he may leave. Please stay J-Rob.

I want him to stay, but he'll want to play first-team football with Santa, Benni, Derbs, Rigters (some kids coming through?!?!) and anyone Sparky might sign this summer I can't see it so if £2 million or around that is offered I think it can and will be taken.
