How Many 'Keepers Can You Have!!!

Blackburn Rovers seem to have a MASSIVE amount of Goalkeepers on the books at Ewood Park but if the Newspapers are right Mark Hughes wants ANOTHER one!!!

Brad Friedel, Jason Brown and Peter Enckelman (although he is on loan with Cardiff City) are the senior goalkeepers at Ewood Park, with highly rated youngsters such as Frank Fielding and the Faroe Island dude (who's name I forget???) as future prospects. But these are not enough (according to recent newspaper reports anyway) as Crewe Alexandra goalkeeper Owain Fon Williams is attracting interest from Rovers (and others.)

Williams, a compatriot of Rovers manager Hughes is an International with the Welsh Under-21's and is rated highly by Crewe, who are famous for bringing through name after name. Rovers and Sunderland are leading the chase, but Bolton Wanderers, Derby County and Swansea City are also watching him.

Why do we seem to sign (or try to) SOOOO many goalkeepers?!?! Does anyone really know anything about the dude?

You'll need many goalkeepers if you were Chelsea! Cursed or what?? ;)
Fan of Blues
The one you forgot HDM is Gunnar Nielsen. And I dont know why Hughes has such an obsession with goalkeeers, surely he should be looking at midfielders instead that our main problem area
Big Man up Front
maybe its Hughes cunning ploy to turn them all into an indomitable force at the centre of the park for next season!!!.......No, I didnt think so either LOL

At 6ft 4ins Williams has a good start. He is going to be Wales keeper soon. Prediction... there will be many signings this summer, especially midfield players. There could be one or two surprise departures too.... 'wheeling and dealing'....
nut all
lol i said it earlier, Hughesy always signs a keeper, here he goes again lol
sasman
Maybe he is a replacement for Enkers... I would of thought anyway. And I'm with nut all here. Could be a few going and coming.
MikeyGamst
No disrespect to our back-ups but are they good enough to replace GOD - NO chance, Hughes is being smart brads got a couple of years left and now's the time to get in a kid with big potential to be groomed as a replacement.
Majiball
Maj - Isn't that Brown and Neillson were bought for? Young goalkeepers to replace Brad when he is carried off in a coffin...?
Decimus Poole
NO-ONE can replace Brad... it is up to someone to come in and take the bull by the horns. Hughes has got the tactics right here. Sign potential then groom him. We wont have a keeper as good as Brad for 100 years.
MikeyGamst
Bradders WON'T be replaced, he will be compensated for in his absence (or at least that will be the hope lol!)
Personally I think we have enough goalkeepers.
