Nelsen & Samba Is The Pairing

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll, suggested by Hughes Da Man asked "A fully fit Ryan Nelsen is a dead cert, but who should partner him in defence?" Christopher Samba.

He has had an indifferent season (by his own admission) but the majority still have complete faith that Samba is the right man to play alongside Rovers skipper Ryan Nelsen, 41% share this view.

Not much could separate Zurab Khizanishvili (who has performed admirably when asked to do so, so he should feel hard done by when he keeps dropping out again) and Andre Ooijer but Zurab JUST came out ahead of Ooijer 28% - 27%. The other option completed the final 4%.

So in summary
Z Khizanishvili - 28%
A Ooijer - 27%
C Samba - 41%
Other - 4%

The current poll, suggested by The Rovers Players is asking, "Man of the Match v Liverpool?"

A FULLY fit Nelsen brings the best out of Samba, so hopefully we can again see this pairing back to their very best. When they are BOTH at their best there are not many better pairings in the WHOLE of the Premier League.

I think this would be the number one choice at the start of the season. Only problem now is that Chris looks a bit tired... if both were 100% this would be the no.1 choice without question.

My next preference is Zurab who is under utilised at centre back IMO.

I voted for the big man simply for his and Nelsens dominating performances last season. Unfortunately with our back line beng injured and unfit most of the time we haven't seen the same performances this season. Still when at their best they are the best partnership that we have.
