Reid Looking Forward To Pre-Season

The season might not be finished yet but Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid is already looking forward to Pre-Season training.

Reid is thrilled to have his 15-months of injury nightmares behind him (touch wood!!!) to be playing again but the Republic of Ireland International has admitted that not having a Pre-Season behind him is making things difficult for him now. The benefits that Pre-Season gives you help get you through the season, so Reid is already looking ahead to this ahead of the next campaign.

Reid told the Official Blackburn Rovers Website: "I was out for a long time with injury so being back feels good - I'm getting stronger with every game that I play.

"But I might not get to 100 per cent until next term.

"That's why pre-season is so massive. People can underestimate the value of a decent pre-season and how it stands you in good stead for the rest of the year.

"Hopefully, come June/July I can kick on again and have a season where I am involved in every game. Next pre-season will be a tough one, but it is one that I am desperately looking forward to
."

Reid's comeback from injury is now almost complete with him back in the Ireland fold, with him being called up for the training camp in the Algarve ahead of two friendlies in May, however, as he is part of a 40-man squad he could yet miss out on the final 28-man party.

With a full Pre-Season under his belt I believe that Reidy WILL be back to his very best next season, the benefits of getting this can't be understated.

Yer looked good surprising the amount of time he was out, hopefully won't get injured again..

he wont miss out on the 28 man squad we are thread bare in terms of numbers and any prem player who gets regular pitch time will be selected

we SHOULD see Reidy at his very best next season I feel, particularly if he gets a full pre-season under his belt. The Internationals with Ireland (hopefully) would do him good as well.

Would love to see Reidy back to his best, his goal against Wigan is one of my favourite all time rovers goals. At his best he can just dominate the midfield with ease and thats what I like about him, we've missed that since he has been out. Hopefully getting that pre season behind him we'll see a return of the dominating Steven Reid.

That IS my favourite Rovers goal BMUF. He is a very talented player (despite what Bommy says lol). A full pre season will see him in good stead...

Concentrate on the rest of this season first, please.
