Khizanishvili Top Rovers Defender

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked, "Defender/Keeper of the Month for March?" We voted in favour of Zurab Khizanishvili.

For the first time this season (I think) Khizanishvili has been voted the Defender of the Month, so with 41% he takes his place in the grand final shortly to determine the Vital Blackburn Player of the Month for March. Joining him will be Stephen Warnock who finished runner up with 25%

Brett Emerton (10%), Brad Friedel (8%), Andre Ooijer (8%), Ryan Nelsen (4%) & Christopher Samba (4%) completed the poll.

So in summary
Brett Emerton - 10%
Brad Friedel - 8%
Zurab Khizanishvili - 41%
Andre Ooijer - 8%
Ryan Nelsen - 4%
Christopher Samba - 4%
Stephen Warnock - 25%

As the search for March's Player of the Month continues the current poll is asking, "Midfielder of the Month for March?" Who will join Zurab Khizanishvili & Stephen Warnock? You decide.

PLEASE NOTE: The positional votes are going to be quick fire ones so get your votes in quick!

if only Hughes had palyed Ooijer or Kizi instead of playing an injured Nelsen in the middle of the season how things could of been different... shows Hughes still isn't a world class manager yet. But still is one of the best lol

I've expressed how much I rate Zurab so I'm pleased to see him get this accolade.

Yep, when called upon he does a good job, as does Ooijer. It is a shame that Samba's form has dropped a bit... hopefully he'll be back to his best soon.

I think Samba and Nelsen being out will help them in the long run. It just shows Hughes that he CAN play Zurab and ooijer as they are reliable to give Nelsen and Chris a rest. Well done Zurab.

ihave rated zurab enough but since the last few games hes bin a revalation in every aspect.lookin at our squad we shudnt be lettin in so many goals. a few more defenders and a few in the middle and we can establish ourselves as a top 6 team without a problem

The Monk was asked to do a job and he did it, fair play to him (agree though DON'T use him at right-back!!!)

Please dont use him at right back, that man city game was a nightmare. At centre back though he is super reliable.
