Hughes: Frustration Is The Word

Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes has revealed his frustration at the draw with Reading on Saturday, a draw which saw the European hopes take another knock.

The 0-0 draw with Reading (who finished with ten men) at the Madejski Stadium was two points dropped and did mean a missed opportunity to capitalise on what was a pretty good day for Rovers in our quest for UEFA Cup football next season. Frustration is the word that Hughes feels summed up the day best of all.

Hughes told Sky Sports: "Frustration is the word, obviously we were in the situation where we had the advantage with the extra man after their sending off.

"I think the international week has taken its toll, certainly on my players. It's been really fragmented and we've not had much preparation for this game.

"There seemed to be a lot of yellow cards and it was never a game that warranted the number of cards shown. That's my view but it's probably echoed by others
."

Reading are good at the Madejski but it was definitely a frustrating day, and two points dropped, how important these will prove to be will be known soon.

Could be a big two points, but this has happened to often this season, liek against fulham etc.. i still feel intertoto if pompey win the F.A cup, but will that still be enough to satisfy Bentley??

I think we are still good to go with regards to the intertoto position. If we get through April in a good position in the Legaue then we can achieve it. With regards to Bentley the media are at it again.... as per usual.

I agree Mikey. We are still in with a shout. We will need some big performances especially against Spurs, Man U and L'pool.

True...we are lacking killer instinct which suggests to me we are not good enough for Europe. However, results went for us last weekend so not all bad!

Still hanging in there!
