Blackburn Showed Character

Blackburn Showed Character

Craig Bellamy, how has now scored five goals in eight games, said Blackburn showed character against Chelsea on Saturday.

The Welsh striker scored a brace to bring Rovers back level with Chelsea sending the team in 2-2 at half time.

We'll swiftly move on from the fact Chelsea then scored another two in the second half shall we?

Bellamy told the official site:

'We responded well after going 2-0 down after thirteen minutes. We had to really, otherwise we'd have been on the end of a good hiding. We showed good character, we passed it round and frustrated them and with our play over all, we deserved to go in at half-time at 2-2.'

On the second half performance:

'The second half was hard for us, Chelsea is an intimidating place, and I think the referee got caught up in it and that made it a lot harder for us.'

Next up for Rovers is a visit from Charlton on Saturday.
