Under 16's In For JUST £1!!!

Here's the latest press release from Ewood Park (below) on the SUPERB offer that Blackburn Rovers are giving this Saturday for the Lancashire derby with Wigan Athletic.

"EGGS-TRA" INCENTIVE FOR YOUNG SUPPORTERS THIS EASTER

Rovers have announced an Easter treat for young supporters ahead of their Lancashire derby clash against Wigan this Saturday (March 22nd) by reducing ticket prices to just £1.

The offer applies to fans who are part of the club's junior membership scheme, Team Rovers, which is free to all supporters aged under 16.

For those who are not members there will be the opportunity to join on the day and still purchase £1 ticket for the game against Steve Bruce's men up to 2pm, one hour before the 3pm kick off. However club officials are encouraging fans to beat the queues and sign up before Saturday - they can either go online at www.rovers.co.uk to download a form or, even easier, just contact the ticket office and join over the phone.

Membership also entitles young fans to a free gym bag and goodie pack, discounts on soccer schools, birthday and Christmas cards from the Rovers stars and the chance to be a player escort on a match day.

Team Rovers was launched last October at a half term open day at Ewood Park and there are already nearly 5,000 members.

This season Rovers have significantly reduced season ticket and matchday ticket prices for all age groups, making football affordable for all at Ewood Park.

Rovers boss Mark Hughes said: "Young supporters are the future of the club and it would be great to see as many of them as possible take advantage of this offer and come down to Ewood this Saturday to support the team."

Simon Williams, Head of Commercial and Marketing at Rovers added: "This provides excellent value for parents wanting to give their children an Easter treat this weekend.

"Any under 16s looking to join up and take advantage of these £1 tickets can either join at the ticket office up to an hour before kick off on Saturday, or to prevent having to queue, they can complete the form on rovers.co.uk.

Yet ANOTHER superb offer from Rovers isn't it.

This is the way to go - a lot of potential season ticket holders. And for only £1 there are really no reason not to go! Othervise there is something fundamentally wrong with the "supporters". I my self was a junior rover (a long time ago when i costed £110 a season!!) and I would have loved to come over to England and watch Rovers play - and even more if it was only £1.
