Reid: We MUST Beat West Ham

Blackburn Rovers midfielder Steven Reid has outlined the importance of beating West Ham United on Saturday, failure to do this could all but end the European hopes.

With Rovers aiming for a third successive European season Republic of Ireland midfielder Reid feels that ANYTHING less than victory will not be good enough, and would probably mean Rovers miss out on Europe next season. Rovers have only lost once in eleven matches, but last Saturday's late equaliser by Jimmy Bullard for Fulham really dented our chances with the way the FA Cup went that weekend.

Reid told BBC Radio Lancashire: "We saw the Fulham match as a must-win game.

"We're seeing it as two points dropped and it felt like a defeat and means every game is now important
."

West Ham go into this game of the back of three successive 4-0 defeats so they will either be all out to rectify this, or the sequence will continue, either way Reidy says no further slip-ups are possible for Rovers if we are to even finish in sixth spot, which will ONLY be good enough for an Intertoto Cup.

He added: "We're just worried about ourselves. These last nine games, every one of them is going to be a cup final.

"We've got a tough game this weekend at West Ham and over recent seasons we haven't done ourselves justice there.

"Hopefully we can get a win down there and turn the Fulham result around
."

EVERY match is like a Cup Final for us now, I know it's a cliché, but it REALLY is true
Three points is a MUST against the Hammered, despite the fact that we haven't got a good record at Upton Park!!!

I can even guess the final score. 4:0. :)

Nows the time to find some form - villa have dropped points and pompey will have an eye on the cup, even everton might be downcast following their UEFA cup exit

Its not going to be easy going to the Hammered after three 4-0's and 2 of those against local rivals and some may see this as a good opportunity to get a deserved win over them, no Tevez to help them this time lol, but it will be tricky as they will really not want to lose another, especailly against us, with connection we had to one of their more than average defenders ;0)

I like that thinking Rikin5... I am confident we can crack on but Reid is right... no more slip ups.

Well dudes we DID slip up, Sparky feels it isn't terminal just yet, which it isn't but it's a MAJOR blip, a win would have made soooo much difference!!!
Hughes Da Man
With the results going how they did, a win would of put us in a strong position. But obviouslyit wasnt meant to be.
