Player of the Month (February)

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll asked you "Player of the Month for February?" We voted in favour of Brad Friedel.

After tying the Goalkeeper/Defender of the Month poll with Brett Emerton, Friedel scoops the overall Player of the Month poll also with 42%, this saw him narrowly edge out David Dunn who finished as the runner-up with 30%.

The rest were much the same as each other, although Morten Gamst Pedersen (12%) did stand out from the rest to finish third.

So in summary
David Dunn - 30%
Brett Emerton - 8%
Brad Friedel - 42%
Benni McCarthy - 4%
Morten Gamst Pedersen - 12%
Roque Santa Cruz - 4%


With the Player of the Month for February out of the way, the Goal of the Month for February will now take place as the current poll, inspired by The Rovers Players is asking, "What was Februarys Top Goal?"

Friedel is as consistent as they come, his performance against Newcastle ALONE was enough to see him earn this.

Cant deny him this one. He certainly was the best Rovers' player of February... excellent against Arsenal and Bolton.

It's strange but we are used to Brad being superb for us... we'll realise just how good he is when he retires and we have to replace him.

He is good - getting on a bit now but as a keeper I reckon he's got at least 3 years left at the top quality.
