Rovers And Poles To Join Forces?

Blackburn are reportedly talking to Polish second division outfit Arka Gydnia over a potential link-up that could benefit both clubs.

Now despite the fact that it is one of the hardest names to pronounce in world football, Rovers could join the ranks of Premiership rivals Manchester United, Manchester City and Arsenal by establishing formal links with the Polish team, who suffered relegation from the top flight last season.

Arka Gydnia, who play at the 12,000-capacity Stadion Gosir, are keen to establish a relationship with a bigger side after falling on hard times both financially and on the pitch.

But they have established a good network of local scouting and youth coaching which could appeal to Rovers if they are able to hand pick the best recruits whilst also increasing awareness of the club in areas which are often difficult to get at.

Surely got to be a good thing for both sides?

As I have said before we have a successful relationship with Cercle Brugge and we can only benefit from these partnerships cant we???
MikeyGamst
It's a win win situation isn't it (like the Cercle Brugges one), if they have a scouting network that is annything like ours then they WILL pick up quality players the we SHOULD then get first refusal on.
Also sending some of the youngsters out to Poland will DEFINATELY toughen them up wouldn't it
Hughes Da Man
Yeah I think this is good. The more clubs we can have under our blanket the better!
roversman
Shall we send Gally out there?? if that doesnt toughen em up nothing will!!!
MikeyGamst
i totally agree with this but do you remember we had such a great talent in sergio peter who went on loan to cercle brugges ! what happened to him ??? he had potential reminded me of petrov from man city
Rikin5
Its always good to have as many fingers in as many pies as possible aint it, anything to get the Rovers name out there and bring in young talented players has to be seen in a good lite. As is said above its good for the younger players at Rovers to see as many styles of football as possible in order to give them a heads up to wot this game is all about
Clint
I feel that while this is a good move for Rovers and it helps expand our network in Europe that we should be looking at south american and African clubs as potential feeder teams, this is where the talent is while they are also cheaply priced
Big Man up Front

ozanne park rangers
Rikin5 - I don't know what has happened with Sergio, he seems to have TOTALLY fallen off the radar hasn't he.
Hughes Da Man
Dont give up on Sergio yet, people forget he has signed a deal for 4 years... keep the faith.
