Dunny Likely To Miss Toon Trip

Midfielder David Dunn is a major doubt for Blackburn's match at Newcastle on Saturday after suffering a calf injury in training.

Dunn will be assessed prior to the Premier League clash but manager Mark Hughes is not confident that the player will be fit enough to feature.

It will be a blow to David as he has been in good form in recent weeks, particularly in the 4-1 win over Bolton.

Centre-back Ryan Nelsen remains sidelined with a hamstring problem but fellow defender Andre Ooijer is set to return after missing last weekend's 4-1 victory over Bolton with a similar complaint.

Other than that Hughes has a full squad to choose from as he looks to continue Rovers impressive sequence of 1 defeat in 9.

Massive blow if he is ruled out, he's in banging form at the moment.

Tugay wont last the 90 against the Toon, thats the problem, so we are looking at Reid and Tuggers, although it wouldnt surprise me if he goes with the Axe and brings Tugay off the bench in the 2nd half TBH

I'd go with the Maestro, go for the throat early on then take him off when the job is done.
