Dunn Can Drive On Euro Bid

Blackburn Rovers manager Mark Hughes feels that the form of David Dunn could have a HUGE bearing on Rovers' chances of making Europe at the end of the season.

The 28-year-old has been in superb form this season (which has brought with it some rumours of a possible, if unlikely England recall) and was instrumental in our 4-1 win over Bolton Wanderers on Sunday, so Hughes feels that he could be instrumental in our European push, as his fitness is improving all the time as is his influence in matches.

Hughes is quoted on Sky Sports: "David is always trying to get involved in a positive way. He is having an influence in the centre of the park which is really important for him.

"He keeps getting stronger and he is training every day now. He has that base of fitness he needs. He possibly hasn't had that for a number of years and that's why he can put in the performances
."

Everyone is important to us, but the influence in the middle of the pitch that Dunny has (and is showing regularly now) could make the difference for us. He is certainly getting very much back to the Dunny of old, something that probably not everyone thought we would see again (maybe to an extent myself included.)

I hope you do get into Europe - even if it takes a Intertoto cup - Hughesy deserves it!

Dunny can drive the bid, are you taking notice Mikey? DUNNY, not REIDY but DUNNY! ergo, reid is incapable of driving home the euro bid! HA BLOODY HA! ;)

shutup bommy, reidy will return to form, he is slowly getting there lol. Sas and Mikey Backing Reid and Kuqi

likes a bit of a dive mr dunn doesnt he

LOL, as do most premiership players! Christ, watching Drogba is like watching Bambi on ice!

I loved his interview last week, even said he thought the 2nd pen was a bit dodgy (obviously not).. refreshing to hear someone tell it like it is :)

I am watching Bommy.... Reidy had a good solid game on Sunday and let Dunn do the attacking side of things. This is a good combo and the reason we looked so solid. And sas is right... sas and mikey backing Reid and Kuqi all the way!!!!

whilst someone is doing the fancy stuff, making runs, darting up the field, someone has to hold the middle, do the cleaning up, mr reid can develop into one of those old fashioned hold the middle of the park midfielders. You no, the guy that does the work and gets no credit, a mekelele type player
sasman
Give up lads, we ALL know that Reid is not and will never be a holding/clean up player, its not his style. The combo of Reid and Dunn will get found out quite quickly against an experienced or talented midfield.
BomBom
If all our lads stay fit, especially Dunn, then we have a chance of Europe
