'If It's Football, It's Vital'

The Versatile Martin Olsson

Vital Blackburn's most recent Poll, suggested by Hughes Da Man asked "Where do you think Martin Olsson's future lies?" We see him as being versatile.

The Swedish youngster was brought to Ewood Park to play as a left-back and after impressing at youth and reserve levels he had graduated through to senior level, already being used this season, and as a left-back and a left-sided midfielder.

42% see Olsson as playing in a combination of both positions closely followed by another 39% who primarily so Olsson as a left-back. 16% think he will spend most of his time on the bench with the final 3% thinking he'll be a left-midfielder.

So in summary
As a left-back - 39%
As a left-midfielder - 3%
A combination of both - 42%
Permanently on the bench - 16%

The current poll, suggested by roversman is asking, (hypothetically of course lol!) "If you had to choose who would win Rovers or Your Partner?"

As for what you think, cast your vote and why not have your say on the latest polls findings.

Stevie W looks like he has the left-back spot sewn up but Olsson WOULD be a more than able deputy, however, he COULD easily fill in in midfield and if he is given a chance it'll keep MGP on his toes (which is what he needs!!!)
Just so we know I did vote a combination of both.

I think Olsson will be a left back a top quality one at that, i dn't think he is attackive enough and dribbling isn't as good, but will be top quality soon hopefully. Treacy and him on the left side ooo mouth watering!!

Primarily I see Martin's future at left back and I feel that he will do a good job when his time comes to play in that role. But based on the fact that we already have a solid left back at the moment in Warnock, I believe that Olsson should play a combination of the two positions for the time being
Big Man up Front
Warnock and Gamst are two of your better players can't see him getting a look in beyond back up. Fair enough Gamst hasn't been at the races this season, but he's a class player and will come good.

I really hope that olsson is not another one that will slip away because of a lack of opportunity, he must get some game time next year, even if its in the cups
sasman
I think we need to bear in mind he is very young and he and Hughes understand that he is for the future. It'll be a year or two yet but he has the talent to become a big player for his club and country.
MikeyGamst
For Olsson to already be in Sparky's thoughts SHOWS that he has a future at the club, you don't get in as a teenager under Sparky unless you have that special something and Olsson seems to have that special something doesn't he.
Hughes Da Man
he sure does, i was more then impressed with his debut game, but he has dissapeared from those days, hopefully he might start appearing agian
sasman
Hughes is doing with MArtin what he is doing with matty, ease them in, make them not take anything for granted and then give them and extended run.
