Rovers Man of the Match v Arsenal

Vital Blackburn's most recent poll asked, "Rovers Man of the Match v Arsenal?" We voted Brad Friedel.

American veteran Friedel picked up the Man of the Match Award against Arsenal. His 28% saw him claim the award comfortably ahead of others. Where would we be without Bradders!!!

The others were much the same as each other, although Brett Emerton (16%) & Roque Santa Cruz (16%) did stand out from the rest.

So in summary
B Friedel - 28%
B Emerton - 16%
A Ooijer - 10%
Z Khizanishvili - 4%
S Warnock - 2%
D Bentley - 12%
Tugay - 2%
S Reid - 6%
B Berner - 2%
B McCarthy - 0%
R Santa Cruz - 16%
A Mokoena (Sub 77mins) - 2%
J Roberts (Sub 77mins) - 0%

Bradders made enough saves to warrant this, so I think this is fair. Personally my outfield player would have been Emerton, who is growing in stature all the time.

Deserved for Big Bad Brad. I think Warnock was our best out-field player though.

Decimus Poole - It's not always a case of him being overly busy though is it just becuase he is Man of the Match, sometimes the SUPERB saves could make a difference, but it doesn't always mean we have been under immense pressure does it?

It has been this way for a number of years but Brad's excellence is just taken as standard now... sign of a truly great keeper.

well said mikey, great to see he has been locked up for a few years to come, however, surely the younger keepers gotta start getting a run in cup games or something

Maybe sas but Brad is a rare kind... he is one of the few who says that Blackburn is "his home" and he would never leave. I for one think it is a shame there arent more players with his loyalty.
